Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to support our accounting department during a peak operational period. This role will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger reconciliations
- Perform account analysis and assist with budget tracking
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Provide ad hoc financial support to the Controller and Senior Accountants
- Support seasonal golf operations with accounting-related tasks
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting or related roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting practices
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (experience with Yardi is an asset)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Retail experience and POS experience is an asset for this role.
